NAISC Policy Position Paper #1 in Development

NAISC's Policy & Advocacy Committee has begun work on the organization's first official policy position paper, which will establish NAISC's stance on key AI security legislative and regulatory issues facing the United States.

The paper will address four developing policy positions: mandatory AI security standards for federal procurement, AI incident reporting requirements for critical infrastructure operators, establishment of a national AI vulnerability database, and requirements for AI system security auditing in regulated industries.

NAISC actively monitors regulatory developments across eight federal agencies and Congressional committees, ensuring that its policy positions are informed by the latest legislative and regulatory landscape.

The policy paper will be submitted as a public comment on pending AI legislation and shared with Congressional offices through NAISC's growing Capitol Hill engagement program.

Members interested in contributing to NAISC's policy work are encouraged to join the Policy & Advocacy Committee through the membership portal.
